Description
Fire screen with old tapestry in a walnut frame by Liberty & Co.
An interesting arts and crafts design with the square cut out top and bottom panel. Described in their 1904 catalogue as a `stove screen draped with printed silk`. It was made in walnut and oak.
The frame is in good order. The drape, which is old and may not be the original, is without hole, but quite faded. The brass rods supporting the drape are new replacements.

Wood. Walnut.
